Japanese-language talk: Sleeping in the 22nd Century

東京を拠点に活動しているアーティストの遠藤薫と滋賀県立美術館のキュレーター荒井保洋が、遠藤のサイト・スペシフィックなインスタレーション作品《二十二世紀の睡眠法》について、コンセプトやオーストラリアでのリサーチ、展覧会実現までのプロセスについて語ります。本展覧会は、ニュー・サウス・ウェールズ州立美術館と日本の国立アートリサーチセンターの協働プロジェクトです。 Hear artist Kaori Endo and Yasuhiro Arai, curator at the Shiga Museum of Art, discuss the artworks in Endo’s site-specific installation Sleeping in the 22nd Century, presented at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in collaboration with the National Center for Art Research, Japan. Together, they will reflect on the project’s initial conception, the research Endo conducted in Australia, and the process leading to the exhibition. This event will be conducted in Japanese.
