Wesley Anne, 250 High St, Northcote VIC 3070

Janina Berlin and Onur Puza have been collaborating and developing a musical connection based on interplay and interaction. Their music focuses on jazz standards presented through original arrangements and reharmonisations. Janina Berlin brings an expressive, warm voice and an honest approach to storytelling. Her singing is thoughtful and understated, blending traditions with a contemporary voice. Onur Puzas guitar playing combines lyrical melodies with a strong sense of interaction, shaped by years of performing with Australian and international musicians. While he is active as a composer and bandleader, he has always been drawn to the intimacy of small ensemble settings. The duo teams up with bass player Philip Rex to create a broader musical palette and more space for instrumental improvisation.
