Grounds for hope - parents and carers meetup
Sun, 25th Oct 2026 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FREE
Join other values-aligned parents and caregivers for pancakes, coffee, and good conversation — kids welcome! This monthly meetup is accessible activism for carers who want to be part of creating a better world together. Each month we'll explore a different theme around a short resource (podcast or article). Building on the first theme of ‘living beautifully in a collapsing world’, and with the Victorian state election looming, our second gathering will focus on Neuroscientist Dr Sarah Stein Lubrano’s work on changing people’s opinions. Ideally listen to her conversation with Sarah Wilson (1-hour), or watch her 8-minute interview on France 24 (links at the end). For the deep-divers you could read her book ‘Don’t talk about politics’. We will have pancakes again (vegan and gluten-free options available) to support Dragonfly Cafe as it builds its kitchen. When: Last Sunday of every month - next event Sunday 25 October Where: Dragonfly Cafe (entrance via Yann St) Who: Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, educators, and carers. Places are limited — please register for each family member attending.
