A rare opportunity to experience the original music and songs of acclaimed Greek-Australian composer Themos Mexis and songwriter Eleni Elefterias, performed by some of Sydney's finest Greek-Australian vocalists. Featuring: Themos Mexis with Sandy Constantopedos and Irene Vacondios and Eleni Elefterias with Felicia Harris and special guest Kostas Polydoropoulos Born in Rhodes and based in Australia since childhood, Themos Mexis has enjoyed a distinguished international career as a composer, conductor, pianist, and musical performer. This intimate showcase celebrates his original compositions, brought to life by renowned vocalists Sandy Constantopedos and Irene Vacondios. Opening the evening is Eleni Elefterias, an accomplished Greek-Australian songwriter, author, educator, researcher, and cultural advocate whose work has championed Greek language, music, literature, and culture in Australia for more than four decades. Accompanied by arranger, vocalist, and pianist Felicia Harris, she will perform a selection of her most loved original songs. The evening also features special guest Kostas Polydoropoulos, a much-loved performer who has appeared in concerts with composers including Themos Mexis and Timotheos Arvanitakis.
