Think Powerpuff Girls meets the Addams Family, Charlie's Angel meets the nun in the Conjuring, and Kim Possible meets Nikki from Obsession. Basically, they're a whole lot of chaotic fun and you should just come. Featuring spooky nu-jazz grooves, a costume competition and custom cocktails. We recommend booking in that therapist appointment now, because this one is not for the faint of heart. Based on Gadigal land, Monstress are a five-piece all-female and non-binary creative collective blending jazz-infused grooves, spoken word and lush harmonies, led by bassist and vocalist Sarah Homeh, with influences ranging from Tank & The Bangas to Doja Cat, Little Simz and Erykah Badu. Coming off a year which kicked off with an electric 1 am NYE set at Woodford Folk Festival, 2026 has seen Monstress touring the East Coast and playing shows at Bloomfield, Wangaratta Jazz Festival and Marrickville Music Festival.
