Dragonfly Parents and Carers Meetup – Pancakes & Coffee
Sun, 27th Sep 2026 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
FREE
Join other values-aligned parents and caregivers for pancakes, coffee, and good conversation — kids welcome! 🎨 Raising resilient children and building community is hard enough on its own. Add climate collapse, genocide, AI, rising authoritarianism… and it can feel overwhelming to grapple with these issues alone. This monthly meetup is accessible activism for carers who want to be part of creating a better world together. Each month we'll explore a different theme around a short resource (podcast or article). Our first gathering focuses on Sarah Wilson’s work on living beautifully in a collpasing world — ideally listen to her podcast conversation with Jan Fran or read Sarah's book 'I Eat the Stars' beforehand (time-poor? Her 14-minute TED Talk works too). Links below. Buy a pancake (vegan and gluten-free options available) to support Dragonfly Cafe as it builds its kitchen. When: 27 September (and the last Sunday of every month) Where: Dragonfly Cafe (entrance via Yann Street) Who: Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, educators, and carers. Places are limited — Please get a ticket for each of your family members attending.
