Two-time Tony Award-winning star and creator of Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Shortbus, John Cameron Mitchell returns to Australia with a Bowie song cycle. The production blends Bowie's apocalyptic songs with songs of quiet healing, exploring how Hedwig emerged (Bowie was an early supporter) and how the cultural icon predicted current world conditions, ten years after his death. This visually striking production fuses rock concert, cabaret and theatre, combining celebration and meditation that honors Bowie's fearless imagination, timeless music and enduring influence.
