Pioneers of the iconic Madchester sound, the Happy Mondays are returning to Sydney to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their seminal album Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches. The band fuses funk, rock, psychedelia, and house with the pulsating energy of the UK's burgeoning rave scene. Their 1990 release catapulted them into the mainstream, spending over six months on the UK Albums Chart as one of the decade's defining records. The lineup includes Shaun Ryder (vocals), Bez (dancing and percussion), Mark Day (guitar), Gary Whelan (drums), Mikey Shine (bass), Dan Broad (musical director/guitar/keys), and Firouzeh Berry (backing vocals). They will perform highlights from the classic album including major songs and fan favorites, alongside recognition of their 2016 Ivor Novello Inspiration Award. Doors 7:00 PM.
