Wattle Lane Cate Taylor is an award-winning, indie-folk singer-songwriter from Naarm (Melbourne), known for her evocative songwriting and delicate guitar and mandolin arrangements. Her songs are predominantly influenced by nature, social justice and personal themes. Amla is a captivating multi-instrumentalist - flautist, violinist & backing vocalist. Informed by her classical background in flute and years of performance experience, she brings additional texture and depth to their sound. Together they form the contemporary folk duo, Wattle Lane, building on their strengths to forge new ones with a flare and love of story-telling and audience participation. They bring to the stage songs of protest, ballads, upbeat reels and an enjoyable rapport, which all make for a fun and engaging musical experience in a contemporary folk genre, but veering on occasion into a more traditional folk sound. Wattle Lane performs regularly at festivals, folk clubs and house concerts in regional Victoria and inner-Naarm as well as interstate and will be releasing new music in late 2026!
