Two child prodigies from deeply musical families, trained in the European classical piano tradition, both touring the world in their youth. Both are composers as well as improvisers, and both now play more world/jazz than classical music -although in the beautiful church environment with our piano they might play anything. Devi (https://www.devimamak.com.au) was born in Berkely, California, and after many years as a classical pianist turned to dance.Both careers have taken her around the world, recently performing her own compositions for the dancers they were written for. Locally she is best known for her Caravan Band who will be performing for us in November. Mark (https://markisaacs.com/) is a prodigious musician who has composed more than 100 major works including a symphony commissioned by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and a recent release of his Symphony Number 2 by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra which he conducted. To us, he is best known for his duet project with Loretta Palmeiro, a composed/improvised sonata.
