Prelude to Agony brings together some of Sydney’s finest purveyors of extreme music alongside an exclusive Australian performance from New Zealand’s longest running death/grind act – Malevolence. Formed in 1992, this rare Australian show marks the first time they have made it back over the ditch since 2008. After hundreds of shows in their home country, alongside a slew of releases over the past 3 decades, the band re-emerged in early 2025 as a brutal bass-driven force of destruction – do not miss the opportunity to have your head pounded into dust by their sheer grinding brutality! Rounding out the bill are filthy death merchants Horrisonous, sludgy death/doomers Reekmind & crusty grind freaks Inebrious Bastard. This is an 18+ Show. ***** Getting to The PBC! Access to the club and main stage is via 12 stairs at the front of the venue. We are not wheelchair accessible currently but we are working on it! There is free, untimed parking on the avenue and Brighton Street and drop off/pick up is available via our driveway. Access to the green room / downstairs stage is via 15 stairs down onto the ground level. If you have special access needs please email or call us ahead of time and we will do our best to plan with you and help you into the club.
