As Sound Exchange clocks one year of air time on 2SER 107.3, you’re invited to celebrate with us for a night of music from some local + interstate favourites. Crank (Naarm) was a project conceived back in 2022 which has grown into an impressive rotating ensemble of jangly post-punk and spoken-word indie. Their self-titled album has been on high rotation in the Sound Exchange playlist since its release in July, so it feels very special to be able to host their Eora debut! Hugh B & The Modern Pop Ensemble embody a side of this city’s musical identity that is equally laid back (as we should be, by the beach), gritty in their low-fi, jam-like recordings, and tender in the deep and soulful roots of both their own compositions and the covers they choose to perform. With Hugh being possibly the most shouted-out listener of Sound Exchange, it’s only fitting that him and his talented ensemble join us for the 1st birthday. Opening + interstitial music will be selected by local radio legend and DJ, Eddy Diamond. TICKETING INFO This is an 18+ event. Do not attend if you are feeling unwell. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: This will be a general admission standing room show, seating will be available on a first come first served basis on both the main floor & mezzanine. Photo ID is essential, acceptable ID is a current and valid Australian Drivers Licence or Passport. Intoxicated persons will not be admitted. No thongs, steel cap boots, or spiked attire. Dangerous behaviour including Crowd Surfing, Stage Diving, Moshing and Violent Dancing is not allowed and will result in your immediate removal from this venue. Inappropriate behaviour at this venue will lead to your banning.
